Fans of the Gilmore Girls know that tonight's episode (8 p.m., WKCF-Channel 18) is a biggie. Dean takes a bride. And while most viewers will be rooting for star Rory, Central Floridians might want to flank the spoiler, Lindsay, who's played by hometown up-and-comer Arielle Kebbel.
Now I'm technically not supposed to give away whom Dean chooses. But the photo that Arielle's Winter Park mom, Sheri, gave me (of her daughter in a wedding dress) might be a clue.
Over the weekend, 18-year-old Arielle took time to chat about her life -- which includes a leading role in a comedy film with Tom Arnold and guest-starring spot on an episode of Judging Amy.
"I'm living a dream," said the teen, who left Winter Park earlier this year for an apartment between Hollywood and Sunset boulevards.
She has partied with J. Lo, danced with Rosie Perez and worked with Snoop Dogg. "I'm glad I'm doing all this now," she said. "There's no way I could do this in my 20s."
That must be when folks turn ancient.
Star tracks, though, are just fringe benefits for Arielle, a bubbly and optimistic teen who says she works hard to avoid the "fake hoopla."
She's serious and focused on making films. Even her love life -- a relationship with a member of the Orlando-based boy-band Natural -- has taken a back seat. "When I have free time, I need to sleep," she said, "not fly across the country to see someone."
By the way, she's apparently versatile, too.
On Gilmore Girls, she plays a love interest. In the upcoming Judging Amy, she'll be the evil high school ringleader, charged in a hazing incident. "It was pretty gross," she said of the hazing scenes. "We were covered with what was supposed to be pig parts and feces."
